Yoga 4 You Testimonials & Customer Reviews

It was with much pleasure that I read your +300-hour (Advanced Yoga Teacher) certification exam. There were no surprises, but many affirmations of what I already knew, which is that you are far far far along the path of broad and deep understanding of yoga, and more than that, you have a rich experiential base as a practitioner and teacher that brings it all alive with great clarity and insight.
Put differently, congratulations on completing the +300-hour training with great distinction!
I wish you all the best in realizing your dreams and intentions.

In the past I have attempted to do yoga many times but always found it uninviting.  This year I attended Anneriek’s yin class and was surprisingly hooked (first class).  Prior to doing her class I attended the gym 3 - 4 times a week, now I attend yoga 3 - 4 times a week, doing Anneriek’s yin and flow classes.  I’m inspired and motivated with Anneriek’s teachings.  What I appreciate most with Anneriek’s class is that I have been able to go beyond my expectations because of the trust I have in Anneriek.  I can not thank Anneriek enough for what she has given me.

I have been a student at The Yoga Shed in Richmond New South Wales Australia for over 2 years, during this time I have been tutored by Anneriek once or twice a week. In the time that I have practiced yoga , on and off for over 20 years Anneriek is one of the best tutors I have encountered. She is always well prepared and her classes run smoothly. The practice is suited to a wide range of capabilities with advanced posses for those more able but that also provide an aspirational challenge for others. I have improved greatly in strength and flexibility as have many of my classmates. Anneriek has a friendly and open manner that provides confidence and a welcoming environment.

I look forward to Anneriek's yoga classes each week, practicing her ‘Yin Yang Fusion’ and ‘Warm Strong Flow’.  Her extensive knowledge on the benefits of yoga and the body, benefitting any ailments are very impressive and as a result has helped me manage my lower back issues, not to mention her energy, experience and variety she brings with her to each class.  With Anneriek I find myself reaching personal achievements both mentally and physically.

I am looking forward to Anneriek extending her knowledge and passion with further teacher training to build on what is already a very passionate and knowledgeable teaching career in yoga – great things to come!

I’ve been doing yoga for over 10 years but Anneriek teaches the best classes I’ve ever done.

My wonderful experience of yoga with Anneriek spans eighteen months and during that time my partner and I have regularly attended her Yoga Focus, Flow and Yin classes.  We really love her classes!  Anneriek has a vast knowledge of the various yoga positions and moves.  Her knowledge of the body’s physiology is evidenced by her ability to recommend slight changes to positions to allow for individual differences in the body and to protect previous injuries and limitations, especially in older bodies!   I love the fact that she motivates me to do go further every class  and, of course, I love her subtle sense of humour, which makes her classes so enjoyable!  I have tried yoga before but I’ve never felt  challenged so I hadn’t continued but, with Anneriek’s classes, I will be continuing as I have an excellent workout every time and feel wonderful at the end of class.  I feel my body increasing in strength, my balance improving, my mind is more centred and calm but the biggest changes, however, are with my flexibility and my increased feeling of well-being.

There was no judgement but space for truth, something magic happened, there was space for being seen and feeling heard.  It was really special…in one moment... we all became at ONE xx Thank you doesn't seem enough.  Blessings to you all XX - Lesley

Anneriek Favelle completed her three-year apprenticeship with me with excellence. Already during her third year of the training, she was teaching several classes a week.

After completing her apprenticeship she continued to teach at North Sydney Yoga from 2002 to 2006. She taught up to six 1.5 hour classes weekly. She was greatly missed when she moved away and had to stop taking her classes at my school.

Anneriek teaches with great skill and enthusiasm. She has a solid understanding of all the different components of Yoga practice and philosophy, and passes these on with great passion and reliability.

I’m a new student to yoga since mid June 2015. My first yoga class was with Anneriek which was a Focus session on core strength, and I thought yoga was about relaxation! It was a challenging first experience despite being fit and relatively flexible. Four months on, i continue to attend Anneriek’s classes on Flow and Yin every week.

I find Anneriek’s instructions helpful not only in how to get into asanas by demonstration but the explanation of how a posture may benefit a person. She also demonstrates the variations of each pose and the Indian name of each pose which I can never remember how to say but I can recognise it. I noted in classes by other instructors, some would refer to their notes during the session. Anneriek does not have any notes, her classes just flow seamlessly. I especially enjoy the yin sessions as this really challenge the body and the mind. She also has a sense of humour especially with challenging poses.

I enjoy Anneriek’s classes for the challenges of strong poses which has helped me enormously in my sport in particular (ultra running) focusing on strength and overcoming mental barriers, over time I hope to achieve the spiritual benefits of yoga practice as well.

I've been practicing yoga in a regular but not intense level for the past 8 years and I've been following Anneriek class for the last 3 months. During those months, I feel that I've really progressed in my practice, especially with some postures, thanks to her. What I most enjoy about her classes is the relaxed, fun and friendly environment.

I have been attending Anneriek’s classes since she started at The Yoga Shed.  I have regularly been attending her Focus, Flow and Yin classes.

Anneriek is an amazing teacher and I have been able to accomplish many postures I would not have even tried if I had been attending other classes.  She pushes you to attempt things I would not have dreamed I would do a few years ago.

Anneriek is very helpful.  Earlier this year, after breaking a toe, she designed a program for me so I could continue yoga.

I have had the pleasure to attend many of Anneriek Favelle’s yoga classes.  I have participated in her Yoga Focus class and her Yoga Flow class which she runs at The Yoga Shed Richmond.

Anneriek’s classes are always fun, informative and dynamic.  She is an intuitive teacher who encourages her students to explore their full yogic potential.     Her direction and intentions are always clear and her adjustments well applied.     Anneriek always has time for her students and is always available after class to talk with on any matter.

Her Yoga Focus class is an enlightening class in which students get to explore in depth a particular focus.  It could be a class base on a certain pose in which the anatomical alignments are explored; it could be a class based on breath and the use of the breath to deepen your practice.     As a student I thoroughly enjoy this class.  It allows the time to discover different yogic applications which help to developed more physical and mental awareness of your body and mind.

Anneriek’s Yoga Flow class is dynamic and fun.  The use of breath in conjunction with a strong flow allows myself as a student to engage in a more mediative approach while also feeling the physical benefits of a strong class.    This class is always fun with laughter, light heartiness and a sense of community.

In the last three month I have been lucky to have started a mentoring relationship with Anneriek.   She mentors with honesty and compassion.   She very open and she shares her ideas and experiences freely.  Her feedback is productive and I always come away from our sessions having learnt more about myself as teacher and new ways to expand and explore yoga in my life and in my classes.

Anneriek is an inspiring teacher whose dedication to her own personal practise shines through in her teaching.   I believe all of this attributes is why she has a large number of students and is well respect and loved in our yoga community.

I just want to Thank you for a wonderful retreat. You are an inspiring teacher. I enjoyed our Yin session’s immensely, how informative you made each session as we moved over the body.
You gave your free time into beautiful flows and I appreciate greatly being able to join these. I found the mindfulness sessions informative and a challenge.

My partner and I have been attending Anneriek's classes for approximately 18 months now.

We have found Anneriek to be a very engaging teacher with  a fantastic depth of knowledge of Yoga. She is someone who really puts the principles she teaches into practice.

Anneriek's classes are always challenging, there is always "something more",  but this maintains our interest and extends our boundaries.

Her commitment to correct practice is always balanced by her sense of humour and ability to tailor the practice to individuals abilities and needs.

I highly recommend her as a Yoga teacher, she is definitely the most accomplished and committed Yoga teacher I have ever experienced.
